This retro Longhorn mark dates back to the mid-twentieth century, but it bears resemblance to Texas' costumed mascot, Hook ‘Em, who debuted in 1976. Hook ‘Em came to life when the school realized it’s not easy to bring the live version of Bevo everywhere the Longhorns go. We added some classic, throwback elements to this design to give him an iconic retro look. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.

Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes. (Model in our side-by-side graphic is 6'3" and wears a size M.)

Our heavyweight tees have a wide chest and body, to offer a vintage fit. If you prefer an athletic fit, consider sizing down or buying this design on one of our classic, standard tees.

Please wash BEFORE wearing! Our vintage heavyweight tees are garment dyed. A wash before wear helps remove any excess dye.

After that, wash separately, with cold water and a mild detergent. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach!

I'm from Texas

As soon as the fabric hit my skin, I was transported to the 2005 Rose Bowl. I saw VY scrambling right in front of me and taking the rock to the house for a touchdown. Maybe it was the superior quality of vintage cotton in the shirt, maybe it was just the spirit of Texas flowing through me. Who can say! What I do know is this shirt was a sign that the glory days would return to Texas! HOOK 'EM!!!
