Hearts pounded during the 1985 Indianapolis 500, the 69th running of the race. As Danny Sullivan overtook Mario Andretti for the lead, his car stepped out and Sullivan spun. Miraculously, both drivers continued on in the race unscathed, with Sullivan eventually overtaking Andretti once again, completing the iconic “Spin and Win” moment of racing lore.
