Florida State’s crest combines three torches that represent their motto, “Virtes, Artes, Mores” (“Strength, Skill, Character”). It also denotes the school’s founding year of 1851, though it didn’t receive its first name, the Florida Institute, until 1854. This particular design is a vintage remake, with the same flourishes and elements you’ll find on college gear from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
