An ABA staple, the Kentucky Colonels were the winningest team in the ABA before the merger in 1976. They won the 1975 championship over their fierce rival, the Indiana Pacers. Surprisingly, the Colonels weren’t retained in the ABA-NBA merger, but they’re still in the fabric of basketball history.
