From 1956 until 1980, DePaul basketball played at Alumni Hall on their Lincoln Park campus. In addition to being the home of amazing DePaul hoops moments, the venue played a significant role in college basketball history--a young broadcaster named Dick Vitale made his broadcasting debut there in 1979, calling the DePaul vs. Wisconsin game for the relatively new network, ESPN.
