The DePaul University athletic department rebranded in 1999, coinciding with a renewed excitement around the basketball team. Local high school star Quentin Richardson decided to stay home in Chicago and led DePaul back to the NCAA tournament for the first time in eight seasons. This menacing Blue Demon has been around ever since.
