UMass Minutemen Ice Hockey Retro Hoodie
- Free exchanges
In this retro-inspired design, the iconic UMass Minuteman has traded in his musket for a hockey stick to celebrate UMass hockey. The school first embraced hockey in the 1908-09 season, when they actually played on UMass’ campus pond; without a proper home, the team only played sporadically whenever the pond’s ice was usable. This unsustainable strategy briefly collapsed the Minutemen hockey program until 1993, when the Mullins Center opened. Having proper facilities paid dividends, as UMass attracted future NHLers and made their first NCAA tournament in 2007.
