Larry Bisceglia, a mechanic and avid racing fan, first fell in love with the Indianapolis 500 in 1926. Decades later, after two failed attempts to be the first fan lined up at the gates, his cross-country pilgrimage from Arizona to Indiana paid off; in 1950, he was the first fan to arrive for the race. For 37 years, Bisceglia drove to the 500 every year to be the first fan in line, in his Chevrolet panel truck and, later, his Ford Econoline van--both of which were decorated in racing decals. Though his streak ended a year before his death, "Mister First in Line" remains part of IMS and Indy 500 lore.
Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
