Montana State University was founded in 1893 as The Agricultural College of the State of Montana. It was then renamed to The Montana College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, but known as Montana Agricultural College. By the 1920s, the institution went by Montana State College, as represented by this design that we found on a vintage decal. In 1965, however, the name was changed for the last time to Montana State University in recognition of the school's many advances in research.
