From 1967 to 1979, Nevada used this smirking, side profile wolf caricature as its official logo. Nevada’s modern costumed mascots, however, have opted not to wear the signature top hat. The (literal) Wolf Pack of mascots includes Alphie, Wolfie Jr., and Luna; Wolfie is also a nationwide name, as a former Capital One Mascot Challenge winner.
