This Sam Houston "Kats" wordmark first appeared on the football team's helmets in 1998. The team wore it until 2004, and brought it back in 2024 as a throwback look. We paired this much-loved helmet design with lyrics from the Sam Houston fight song: "Fight, Fight, you Bearkats! / Fight on through! / We're here in back of you!"
