Though the Gulf Star Conference's existence was brief, Stephen F. Austin still made its mark on the fledgling conference. The Lumberjacks won the conference in 1985, with an overall record of 9-2 (4-1 in conference). To celebrate, we threw it back to the Gulf Star era, and featured helmets the team wore throughout the '80s.
