This vintage running buffalo was a CU alternate logo from 1948 to 1981. The illustration predates Ralphie I, who made her debut in 1966. Every live Ralphie has been female, since males can be up to a foot taller and a half ton heavier – she’s even a social media star, with various accounts you can follow.
