Opened in 1917, Camp Randall Stadium is the centerpiece of the Wisconsin Badgers’ athletic complex. The oldest stadium in the Big Ten lies on the grounds of Camp Randall, a training post for the Union Army during the Civil War. 70,000 Wisconsin troops were trained at the camp before being sent to battlefields in the South. The Camp Randall Memorial Arch that you see on this t-shirt was dedicated in 1912 as a tribute to those soldiers and now serves as an entrance to the stadium for the Wisconsin Marching Band on football Saturdays.
