This special-edition College Vault logo honors Frank Dowsing Jr. and Robert Bell, MSU's first African-American football players. Both Dowing and Bell had spectacular careers at Mississippi State, with Frank Dowsing Jr. being a two-time first-team All-SEC selection in 1971 and 1972 (and also earning "Mr. Mississippi State" in 1972).

Bell was also a fan favorite- after becoming a prep All-American at Meridian High School, Bell joined the Bulldogs at Mississippi State, where it was common to hear chants of "Give 'em hell, Robert Bell."

Both players have a long-standing legacy at MSU that now lives on in this retro-inspired tee.
