Inspired by a vintage USC decal, this design features the Trojan Shrine, a life-size bronze statue sculpted by Roger Noble Burnham and unveiled for the university’s 50th anniversary celebration in 1930. “Tommy Trojan” was modeled after several USC football players and lists the five attributes of the ideal Trojan: Faithful, Scholarly, Skillful, Courageous, and Ambitious. Sitting in the heart of campus, it is now covered for the week of the UCLA football game and watched over by the Trojan Knights to prevent it from any vandalization by their Bruin rivals.
