"Skipper" the cannon is fired by the Virgina Tech Corps of Cadets at every Virginia Tech home football game, both in pre-game festivities and after every Hokies score. The tradition dates back to 1963, when a group of cadets created the cannon for the rivalry game against Virginia Military Institute. President John F. Kennedy's was a Skipper in the Navy, and was also a title for the highest rank in the Corps of Cadets at the time. With the dedication of the cannon occurring after Kennedy's assassination, the name Skipper was chosen.

This triblend hoodie shows our love for this classic Hokies tradition. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.

Buy 2 cause your girl will steal this hoodie.

The hoodie is incredibly comfortable, soft and warm (not annoyingly warm - but just right). I highly recommend it. I'm waiting for the maroon version so I can buy another.

    Love it!

I am really trying to make cool fall and winter happen by wearing this soft, thick hoodie all the time. Sometimes even when it’s too warm. GO HOKIES!!
