During legendary coach Branch McCracken’s era, the IU men’s basketball team earned the nickname “Hurryin’ Hoosiers” due to their fast-break style of play. In McCracken's 23-year coaching run, the Hurryin’ Hoosiers won four Big Ten titles and two national championships, and his legacy lives on at Assembly Hall, where the court is named in his honor.
