This design is a nod to IU football under head coach Lee Corso, who was photographed on the sidelines in a similar style crewneck in 1976. Famously, a season later, when the Hoosiers took an early 7-6 lead on the Ohio State Buckeyes, Corso called his players to pose under the scoreboard. The team took a photograph under the “INDIANA 7, OHIO STATE 6” score, commemorating IU’s first lead on the Bucks in 25 years. Coach Corso timed the photo op perfectly, since it would be the only touchdown his Hoosiers would score in the eventual 47-7 loss.
