This rascally, racing rabbit is making his own luck at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Before the track became home to multiple races and large-scale events per year, rabbits and other smaller rodents called the serene infield grounds home. When 500 time would roll around, rabbits in particular would greet (or perhaps annoy) drivers by sprinting out on track. At the 1988 Indy 500, one particular rabbit chose the wrong time to go for his time trial, getting hit by Al Unser during the race.
