We went all out to celebrate the Jayhawks’ 1988 improbable national championship. Though led by Danny Manning’s scoring prowess through the season, the team lost nine scholarship players during the season and struggled to fill a roster. Through the chaos of March, upsets in the Jayhawks’ bracket gave them a clear path, and they finished the tournament by smashing through the final gauntlet of Kansas State, Duke, and Oklahoma.
