We love Kent State’s eclectic mascot history, but few sparked our interest (no pun intended) quite like Captain Flash. In the early ‘80s, Kent State developed a superhero-style personification of their “Golden Flashes” nickname. The caped crusader of Kent went by many names, including Freddie Flash, Golden Flash, and Flashman. We chose to depict Captain Flash, who debuted in 1982, giving him an original spin in the style of a vintage comic book. Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
