While this vintage Kent State wordmark was a staple of theirs throughout the ‘80s, they didn’t always have a consistent mascot. The Golden Flashes have commonly used lightning as a symbol, but utilized golden retrievers, cowboys, and superheroes as mascots until the dawn of the eagle in 1985.
