Before they were the Cornhuskers, Nebraska University’s athletic teams were referred to as the “Bugeaters.” This unusual nickname came from the large number of bull bats who populated the state and fed on bugs. We couldn’t resist this curious piece of Nebraska history, and have commemorated it here with a on our super soft red tee.
