New Mexico has fielded a football team since 1892, and started and stopped through the years; the Lobos would eventually pick up some steam and field a team consistently in the 1910s. Through the years, the Lobos have won four conference championships and two division championships in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West Conference in 2016. The Lobos debuted this helmet in 2000, and it’s still part of their regular helmet rotation.
