We gave this North Florida Ospreys logo, which served as their primary athletic logo in 1998, an extra vintage touch, mimicking chest-print ringer tees popular in the 1970s and ‘80s. The student body at UNF selected the osprey as their mascot in 1979, beating out other native Florida wildlife to become the school’s representative. The beautiful birds of prey are often seen on and around campus, always looking out for their favorite university (or, more likely, looking for food).
