The Notre Dame monogram has several variations that floated around throughout the school's history, including this version that appears similar to other versions from the 1960s. The monogram was first used as the "official athletic insignia" of the university in 1899, though it's possible the football team used the earliest versions a few years prior to award its version of a varsity letter.

Our dad hats have a 56 to 61 cm circumference, which is equivalent to a US 7 to 7 5/8. Note that embroidered hats may experience slight shrinkage as a result of the embroidery process.
