Another unique tradition at Boise State started in 1965, when the school was still known as Boise College. Back then, a horse named Spyieche ran a lap around the field at old Bronco Stadium after every score. Today, the Boise State Bronco Girl and her horse have the honor of leading the football team onto “The Blue” before every home game.
