Founded in Spokane, Washington by a Jesuit missionary in 1887, Gonzaga University is named after the Jesuit saint Aloysius Gonzaga. Known as the “Fighting Irish” for a short time in the early 1900s, they soon adopted the bulldog as their official mascot. By the late 1950s, Gonzaga athletic teams were part of the NCAA. Basketball has become their most successful and popular sport, with the Bulldogs having made the NCAA tournament every year since their Cinderella run to the Elite Eight in 1999.

The Magic Was Magical!

First of all, as a marketer - the packaging was fantastic. The shirt is soft, and easily wearable. And, the timing was absolutely spot on. It was halftime of the Zags first matchup of the 2022 NCAA tournament against Georgia State and the Zags were really struggling. Only up 2 at the half, some magic was needed. And then I got the notification about 5 minutes before the second half started that my shirt had arrived! I put it on, the second half started, and the Zags won by 21! Comfortable & Magical = Homefield.
