One of the greatest defensive coaches to ever do it, Robert Neyland was not only a brigadier general in the U.S. Army, but considered "The General" of the Tennessee Volunteers. Neyland held the Vols' head coaching job three times between 1926 and 1952, with home games played at Shields-Watkins Stadium (which opened in 1921). A decade after Tennessee won its 1951 national title with Neyland at the helm, it was an easy decision to rename the stadium in the General's honor--after all, the Home of the Vols is also "the House that Neyland Built."
Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
