Four decades after then-named Southwest Texas State decided on the bobcat as its mascot, a sophomore named Beth Greenless won $5 in a mascot naming contest, choosing the winning name "Boko." This version of Boko is modeled after midcentury-era mascots, complete with his knit sweater and sailor's cap.
