UConn debuted a version of this elongated “C” logo on their football helmets in 1964. In 1968, they updated the logo to the version in this design, more clearly defining the “C” as a football. The Huskies then had this helmet in rotation for roughly a decade, soon replacing it with a script “UConn” in 1977.
