Under Tar Heel legend Dean Smith, Carolina was virtually unstoppable, save for two regular season matchups against Wake Forest and Virginia. James Worthy and Sam Perkins helped lead the 1982 team to success, alongside up-and-coming true freshman Michael Jordan.
