This football-specific rendition of the famous pouting Rameses logo was used in the 1970’s – we found him specifically on the 1971 UNC football media guide. At that time, the Tar Heels were on a roll on the gridiron, winning two straight ACC titles in 1971 and 1972, and made three straight bowl appearances, including a win in the 1972 Sun Bowl.
