One of the best teams in college football history with their 11 All-Americans and six first-round draft picks, the 1968 Ohio State Buckeyes upset #1 Purdue 13-0 in their third game, blew out hated rival and #4 Michigan 50-14 in their last regular season game, and defeated #2 USC 27-16 in front of more than 102,000 people on New Year’s Day in the Rose Bowl to go undefeated and secure the national championship. 1968 was also notable as the first year that Woody Hayes and the coaching staff awarded Buckeye Pride stickers for player helmets. The size of the stickers may have changed, but the tradition still lives on.
