The first version of the Notre Dame leprechaun with his dukes in the air debuted in 1964, designed by graphic artist Theodore W. Drake for $50. So strong was Notre Dame's brand that this new-to-the-world logo appeared on the cover of TIME alongside a profile of coach Ara Parseghian. In 1967, the leprechaun got a slight upgrade into the version we associate with the Fighting Irish today.
Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
