Coach Vince Gibson took the reins of the Cardinals football program in 1975 and immediately injected it with energy. He coined the term “Red Rage” that was used in marketing, on fan gear, and even on the team’s football helmets for his five seasons in Louisville, including back-to-back 7-win seasons in 1977 and 1978. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
