It has become one of the most well-known cheers in college sports and embodies the spirit of family and inclusion at Penn State. “We are” rings out from one side of Beaver Stadium while the other responds with “Penn State!” Words that were once used to take a stand against racism in the 1948 Cotton Bowl would be brought back into prominence by the Nittany Lion cheerleaders in the 1970s, eventually becoming the iconic and intimidating chant that the world knows today.

After that, wash separately, with cold water and a mild detergent. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach!
