In 1936, the same year the Borg-Warner Trophy was first awarded, third-time champion Louis Meyer sat exhausted atop his car with a bottle of buttermilk in hand, which his mother suggested would cool him off on a hot day. A post-race milk chug would be a quirky, intermittent celebration after the race until 1956, when the dairy industry offered prize money for the 500, and solidified milk as the official "taste of victory."

Vintage heavyweight tees are new to Homefield! See our side-by-side graphic and product guides for details. (Model in our side-by-side graphic is 6'3" and wears a size M.)

Our heavyweight tees have a wide chest and body, to offer a vintage fit. If you prefer an athletic fit, consider sizing down or buying this design on one of our classic, standard tees.

Our vintage heavyweight tees are garment-dyed, 100% pre-shrunk cotton.

Please wash BEFORE wearing! Our vintage heavyweight tees are garment dyed. A wash before wear helps remove any excess dye.

After that, wash separately, with cold water and a mild detergent. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach!

Once your order is printed, it will promptly be dispatched. In certain cases, orders may be sent in separate shipments to expedite delivery.
