This classic Indiana State script is best known from the warmups ISU wore during basketball legend Larry Bird’s era. Notably, the otherwise-undefeated 1978-79 Sycamores fell to Michigan State in the 1979 NCAA tournament, but are still considered Indiana State’s greatest team of all time. The game also sparked the rivalry between Bird and Magic Johnson, which would last through their Hall of Fame NBA careers.
