King, the two men who collaborated to create “Texas Fight,” cited rival Texas A&M for their fight song inspiration. Hunnicut felt that “Texas Fight” was an “effective way to strike back” against the jabs of “Farmers Fight” and other jeers from the archrival Aggies.
