On the first day of 1991, the Louisville Cardinals dominated the Alabama Crimson Tide at the Fiesta Bowl. The Cards, led by Browning Nagle at quarterback, took a commanding 25-0 lead in the first quarter, and ultimately won the game 34-7. The game also holds off-the-field significance; both the Tide and the Cardinals paid tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as a display of unity after the state of Arizona voted down a state holiday in his memory. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
