The Hokies came into Morgantown as the #3 team in the country, but the Mountaineers dominated every facet of the game in a 28-7 victory. VT’s national championship hopes were vanquished, and West Virginia went on a seven game winning streak to claim a share of the Big East title and a trip to the Gator Bowl in Florida.
